SecureAware is an information security intranet. To a security manager, it provides useful tools to manage the information security process from the top. It’s a product of Neupart. Neupart, an ISO 27001 certified company, is the leading provider of governance, risk, and compliance management (GRC) solutions. Neupart helps large enterprises manage complex regulatory mandates and operational risk, and provides small businesses with little or no security expertise an all-in-one platform for compliance, best practices and awareness. The SecureAware platform is a collaborative workflow system that is delivered as software, an appliance, or Software as a Service (SaaS). The library of security objects and modular functionality allows organizations to rationalize and reduce security controls, perform full lifecycle management of risk assessments and IT audits, and create one defensible standard of care.

SecureAware is built on Java technologies. It uses J2EE 1.6 and Java Servlet Engine, SQL RDBMS Database, XML, HTML, Flash, PDF etc. Recently the development is moving from SecureAware 3x to Secureaware 4x with more web 2.0 functionalities which enables SecureAware interface act more like an application.

Neupart outsources the development of Secureaware to Pyxisnet. It’s an extended offshore team (EOT) model project where Pyxisnet team is working as the extended team of Neupart. Neupart team (2 developers+ 1 team lead) mainly support instant client request and the Pyxisnet development team (3 developers + 1 team lead) is working with the team in Neupart, Copenhagen focusing on the core development of SecureAware. The core development includes requirement analysis, design, implementation and sometimes maintenance etc.
