The Groupcare .NET is an application owned by Groupcare A/S, a leading software development and service provider in Denmark. The Groupcare .NET is a web based application. It’s a common place or platform of sharing information and resources among a group of people. The application has a common backbone with its extensive facility of customization as per customer needs. The key points of this application are its modularity and service-based architecture that accomplishes extensibility and flexibility of customization along with a tighter security layer for maintaining multi-level access rights. The product’s architecture, design and implementation were reviewed by NorthTech, Inc. for acclaiming our certification on Microsoft’s “Platform Test for Hosted Solution”. This also led us being Microsoft Gold Partner. There are about 30 customer solutions of this product running in Denmark.

Groupcare .NET is a multilayered/tiered web based application developed in Microsoft .NET technologies. The front-end is developed in ASP.NET in C#, the business object and data access layers are developed in plain C# where the data access layers talks with SQL Server database. The application is fully designed and developed by offshore development team in Pyxisnet Ltd., Dhaka. There is a quality assurance team that ensures its high quality at every delivery to the client. There are 11 members in the development team where 4 of them are dedicated to add new features or update/maintain existing features. The rest of the team members provide solutions on customer specific request, customization, support etc. There are several consultants in Denmark who deal customer needs and send information to offshore development team in Dhaka. The Dhaka team always corresponds with consultants to have up-to-date customer needs as well as improvement of the quality of the product.
